MTN Set To Launch 4G LTE Services By July Plus Other Data Goodnews

The giant network provider recently took to their Twitter handle to announce that they will be unveiling their 4G LTE services in some parts of the country come July 2016. They will be reportedly using the 800MHz frequency which they acquired from Visafone Ltd earlier this year when they bought the company. The network will incorporate a 1,500 LTE collocated sites backhauled with fibre optics.

After so many years of torturing that MTN melted on its customers, we are now getting some signs of relief that things will get even more better soon. 2. The 750MB that used to cost as high as N2000 now costs only N500 , to subscribe for this, text 103 to 131

3. MTN have now upgraded the 260MB that used to cost N1000 to 1.3GB at the same price. To subscribe, text 106 to 131

4. They also upgraded the 750MB that used to cost N2000 before to 3.75GB at the same price. To subscribe to this, simple text 110 to 131

You can see the massive slash in data prices. It is now more affordable unlike before when MTN data services were no go area. I am now expecting other networks to bring their own and fight back or they will relax and see how their customers flee ✈ to MTN, though Airtel have some unlimited hourly data plans which are also cool for heavy downloaders.

  3. Maybe the price of 3g will drop further, how ever MTN may charge heaven and earth for its LTE service. Time will tell.
