You Don't Need Google+ Account Anymore To Post App Reviews On Playstore

Few days ago the rumor spread across the web that Google will no longer need your Google Plus account as a prerequisite to post reviews on apps on playstore and the rumor is now real after i personally confirmed it.

Google also confirmed this by making this statement
"A G+ profile is no longer needed to post a review," the company said.

Meanwhile, this change may not be available to everyone just yet as it's still rolling out.

You can recall that by this time last year Google disconnected Google+ from YouTube. "People have told us that accessing all of their Google stuff with one account makes life a whole lot easier," the company had said at that time. "But we’ve also heard that it doesn’t make sense for your Google+ profile to be your identity in all the other Google products you use."

With this development, it will be more easier for everyone to participate in app reviews on Google playstore. Now let me ask you... Have you ever posted a review on playstore?

  1. It is a welcome development. They did all that just to sell their social media platform to the world. They might have seen what they want or realise they can't force it on people any longer. Whatever it is...
