Lenovo Sacks 1,100 Employees

Lenovo has sacked about 1,100 employees which amounts to nearly 2% of the 55,000 employees on the company's payroll globally.

You can recall that Lenovo recently acquired famous mobile phone company popularly known as Motorola as part of the ongoing systematic integration between the two firms, they are taking some decisions which they think is in line to meet their target of being among the frontrunner in the smartphone industry.

But what is the main reason why workers were laid-off by Lenovo? Well, the company said they did it to cut on expenses and restructure the company to a more efficient firm.

About 230 positions will be reportedlylaid off from their headquarters in Morrisville.
