Manage Startup Programs: 
By managing startup items well you can boost up your system’s speed significantly. To manage your system’s startup items, right click on Taskbar and select Task Manager. It will open a compact Task Manager, go to “More Details” at the bottom left of your screen. Here you will find all the options associated with Task Manager, go to Startup tab to see the list of programs that launch at the startup process. Now select the unnecessary program and right-click on it to “disable” it. It will prevent the program from running at startup process.

Launch the Windows troubleshooter: 
You can use this lesser known tool to sniff out performance problems and solve them. To launch this tool, go to Start button and type “troubleshooting” in the search box and select “Troubleshooting Control Panel” option. Now click on “Run maintenance tasks” under System and Security section. Here a screen titled “troubleshoot and help prevent computer problems” will appear. Now click Next to allow the system to show find files and shortcuts you don’t use often. It will also display other performance related issues on your system. Here you can fix all such files and performance related issues instantly.

Remove temporary files: 
Temporary files on your system accumulates due to various activities on your system including browsing, apps installations, use of various programs etc. To remove these temporary files, go to Start menu & Settings & System & Storage & This PC (or any hard drive) & select Temporary files and recycle bin. Now click on “Delete temporary files” and delete all temporary files from your system.
