MTN just unveiled two new data packages that is bit cheaper than the previous data plans.

You might have received the SMS notification for this data plan on your phone so this post is to let others who are not aware to be familiar with it now.

Volvo To Bring Its Self-driving Car To London

While google is partnering with Ford in manufacturing a driverless car, Volvo is planning to bring their own driverless car to UK to ply on some selected routs.

Drive-free cars are the reigning vehicles now and i see them becoming rampant in few years to come. These cars can travel a number of kilometers on their own without a human being operating them. That's why technology is the best thing that ever happened to mankind.

According to the senior technical leader for crash avoidance at Volvo, Trent Victor
"In autonomous mode, the car can handle all situations that occur," he continued "Going down a stretch of road, the car takes the responsibility for extreme events. If you don't take over, if you just want to do email, the car will take the responsibility and safely stop at the side of the road." Victor said.

Meanwhile, Volvo is not only planning to bring the car to United Kingdom but plans are underway to take it to United States soon though the actual date is not yet made public as at the time of publishing this report.

Nokia To Come Live Again With The Acquisition Of Withings Wearables

Nokia gradually faded away from the smartphone world after they sold their mobile phone industry to Microsoft but they are now set to come back in another dimension... This time around, it is not going to be with smartphones but smartwatches and other smart electronic gadgets.

Nokia is acquiring a French consumer electronics company popularly known as Withings. The company is a major producer of smart gadgets used in all faze of life including in the hospital. The deal that is focused on digital health — for €170 million ($191 million) in cash.

According to a press statement by Nokia President and CEO, Rajeev Suri,
"We have said consistently that digital health was an area of strategic interest to Nokia, and we are now taking concrete action to tap the opportunity in this large and important market,"

He continued...
"With this acquisition, Nokia is strengthening its position in the Internet of Things in a way that leverages the power of our trusted brand, fits with our company purpose of expanding the human possibilities of the connected world, and puts us at the heart of a very large addressable market where we can make a meaningful difference in peoples' lives."


Meanwhile, Withings CEO Cédric Hutchings said in a blog post how "perfectly aligned" the visions of the two companies are. "The Nokia vision of creating beautifully designed products that blend seamlessly into the everyday lives of real people echoes exactly [our ambitions]; we have a solid shared ground to build on." Hutchings said that Nokia had expressed interest in "Preventive Health and Patient Care," and that Withings apps and products will continue "to work in the same way."

How I Rooted Tecno Boom J8 And Installed TWRP Recovery

A friend of mine brought a newly bought Tecno Boom J8 SmartPhone and begged me to install TWRP on it so that he can be able to perform backups and restoration.

Installing TWRP in any android device requires rooting of the phone before it can be possible and i was very busy the so while i was searching online to see the easiest way to achieve this in few minutes, i came across the guide i will show you here. I was able to root the tecno boom j8 and installed TWRP in less than 5 minutes and continued what i was doing.

Tecno Boom J8 is one of the newly released Tecno devices in 2016 and one major aspect tecno concentrated on while producing this device was the media quality. The Boom J8 plays music like the way its name sounds. In fact, it gives a blast of music experience.

==> I went to the phone's Settings > Security > Unknown Sources and ticked on it.
This is required whenever one has to download or install applications not from Google playstore.

==> The next thing i did was to install the latest kingroot app i downloaded earlier on the phone.

==> Then i launched the Kingroot app on the phone. I Tapped the blue button at the bottom to kickstart the rooting process. It started reading in % and i waited for it to complete to 100%.

Remember that in some situations, your phone might reboot prematurely before the percentage is completed. This usually happens when there is not enough or strong 💪 Internet connection on your phone. Just reboot the phone and make sure there is internet service and data on the device before you continue rooting again.

==> After some minutes of waiting for the percentage that was reading, i got a success message

==> Finally, i restarted the device and i saw a new app called KingUser which is an evidence that the rooting process was successful but i had to be 100% so i downloaded root checker from google playstore to verify the root authenticity and it was confirmed rooted.

Second Method
==> Go to Settings> navigate to the bottom to locate Developer Options. If you see it, continue to Step 4
==> Assuming you didn't see the developers option, you have to activate it by going to About phone and open it.
==> Scroll to “Build number” and tap it 7 times continuously until you see “You are now a Developer”, stop and exit.
==> Now return back to your phone's Settings page and go into Developers Options, then you should turn the switch ON.
==> Finally, you can Select the USB Configuration of your choice. That's all for now.
