How To Get Apple Store Refund After Mistake App Purchase

Apple Store boasts of a huge number of iOS apps available for download on iPhones and iPad devices but most of these applications are paid apps unlike in Google Playstore where most apps are free for Android users to use. So Apple babes and fanboys usually pay for their favorite apps via debit or credit card and sometimes, with a gift card.

Unfortunately, people mistakenly pay for apps they didn't intend to buy and wish to get a refund for that transaction so this article will guide you on how to go about the refunding process. So follow me along as I reveal the ways you can get Apple App Store refund when you purchase apps by mistake.

There are two ways to get an Apple App Store refund. You can either request for a refund through iTunes or visit the Apple website.

OPTION 1: Apple App Store refund via iTunes

To get your money back through iTunes, follow below procedures:

✔️ Log into iTunes on your PC with your Apple ID and you will see all the apps you have installed on your devices.

✔️ Then click on "Purchase History", you will see the purchases you made using your account.

✔️ Find a button at the bottom of the screen labeled "Report a Problem". Click on it, and you will be prompted to enter your Apple ID and password again.

✔️ Once that is done, the next screen will bring up a list of possible problems you might experience.

✔️ Now select "I Didn’t Authorize This Purchase",

✔️ Finally, fill in the details about the purchase you made in the box underneath. After that, click on "Submit".

OPTION 2: Apple App Store refund via Web

Meanwhile, assuming you don’t have iTunes installed on your PC, you are also covered, just follow below steps:

✔️ Visit reportproblem.apple.com on your web browser.

✔️ Under "Report a Problem", select the app you want to get a refund for

✔️ Then click "Report a Problem".

✔️ You will see a drop-down menu. Select the option that lets you report a mistaken purchase and click on "Submit".

After that, your request will be reviewed by Apple. If it is worthy, your money will be refunded to you but this can take up to 5 days, excluding weekends and bank holidays.

Meanwhile, it is good to note that you might not even get refunds on apps or files downloaded a long time ago. So the earlier the better to stand a chance of getting your money back.
