3 Methods To Fix 'Unfortunately System UI Has Stopped' Error in Android

In my previous article, we discussed how to fix Google Play Authentication Error on android devices but now we are tackling another popular error you as an Android phone user usually encounter. So I will show you three methods to fix "unfortunately system UI has stopped" error on Android devices.
Unfortunately System UI Has Stopped
Whenever this system UI error occurs on your Android device, your smartphone will be less responsive, and some of your apps will seize to work. This results to freezing and hanging of your phone.

But what is the reason for this Android system error? Why does it usually happen? Well, this mostly happen due to so many reasons e.g recent app updates, Google app update or third party installation.So long you are using an Android device, Tecno, Infinix, Samsung, Gionee, Xiaomi etc, you may experience this error and here are simple fix for it below;

There is no one way of fixing this error message but in most cases, the first method is recorded because it has helped fix

FIRST METHOD

Restart Your Device: with a simple restart, the error is fixed without the need for any other solution. So before you go ahead with any solution try out to see if the Error still persists and based on that you can go ahead with the other solutions mentioned below.

SECOND METHOD

Uninstall Google Update:
Go to Settings –> then tap on Application Manager or App -> search for Google App and tap on it -> now tap on Uninstall updates option to stop the updates. Restart your Android device and check if the Error is fixed or not.

THIRD METHOD
1)Navigate to your device "Settings";
2) Select "Applications", tap on "Menu";
3) Select "Show system application" in pull-down menu;
4) Then find "System Interface" among all applications. In "Memory" section perform clearing all data and cache.
Restart your device and everything should be back to normal.

My experience with Android OS also shows that phones with bigger RAM size are less likely to get this error issues.

  1. The first time i encountered this was when i installed xposed installer in my GIONEE ELIFE S5.5 and behold the unexpected happened. The system UI wasn't responding which resulted in formating the phone.

  4. Mine is that I can't send messages to network numbers, it will crash and say com.phone blah blah stopped. Injoo halo x. Happened after update

  5. @soyene sina ur inability to send SMS is because
    1.ur using a phone of version 2.2,2.3
    and u have insufficient storage...so clear some space

  11. wizzy, I gets dis unfortunately stop stuff whenever I want 2 snd message 2 service center e.g 131,127.... Nd when I plug in earphone nd try 2 increase d volume.. Pls I need solution, infinix hot 4.
