Goodbye To Mozilla Firefox on Windows XP and Windows Vista

It's weird but some people are still using Windows XP and Vista. Recent statistics revealed that about 5.69% of computers connected globally still uses XP and Vista which are very old versions of Windows operating system.

Now, Mozilla has released announcement making it clear that it’s ending supports for Windows Vista and Windows XP OS as the company declare the end of life date till June 2018.

According to the company,
We strongly encourage our users to upgrade to a version of Windows that is supported by Microsoft. Unsupported operating systems receive no security updates, have known exploits, and are dangerous for you to use

Recall, Google ended its Chrome support for Windows XP and Vista platform in 2016, similarly, Microsoft ended its internet explorer support for Windows XP. Microsoft ended support for Windows XP on April 8, and introduced a new web browser called Edge in the process.

So now that Mozilla has now decided to end support for its Firefox browser on Windows XP and Vista after 12 years of keeping the OS safe, are you still going to continue using the Old Windows XP version? Remember it's risky as there is no security support anymore when you are connected to the internet on such devices. This is 2017. Try to follow the trends. Even if it's Windows 8, you will be in a Safer part.

  1. I won't say it's a bad development but rather it is a right step in the right direction cos those people still using the aforementioned windows OS should upgrade to something higher.
