How to Print from iPhone or iPad

Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t print from your iPhone or iPad. If you have a printer with Wi-Fi, it’s likely to be a breeze to print photos, emails, documents or Safari pages from an iPhone or iPad.
A breeze, that is, if your printer supports AirPrint, which is Apple’s printing standard. But don’t worry if you don’t, as there are more options for printing from the iPhone or iPad.

How to print from an iPad or iPhone with AirPrint

To use AirPrint, you will need an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. You will also need an AirPrint-enabled printer, which you can find a list here. All major printer manufacturers have AirPrint printers and, if you have a recent wireless printer, it’s likely to be AirPrint enabled.
Printing from your iPhone or iPad is very simple. Make sure your printer is turned on and connected to Wi-Fi.
Now choose what you want to print in Mail, Safari, Notes, Photos or other apps that have the share icon. This can be a square with an arrow pointing out of it or just a curved arrow. Sometimes you have to tap three points to see the extra options that include the sharing icon.
When you see the sharing screen, Print should be in the bottom line (which is scrollable).
How To Print From iPhone or iPad 1
Tap Print and you will now see Printer Options along with a preview of what will be printed. The first time you print you will have to hit a selected printer. Your iPhone or iPad will search for a local AirPrint printer.
Select the one you want to use (probably the only printer shown in the list, but watch out for your neighbors’ printers if they are close!), Choose the number of copies and press Print. It’s that simple.

How to print from an iPad or iPhone if you do not have an AirPrint printer

There are some third-party apps that will help you if you don’t have an AirPrint printer. PrintCentral is one that is recommended.
They all work in a similar way. There will be a browser that will allow you to view the files on your iPhone or iPad. You install client software on the PC to physically connect the printer to the iPhone/iPad so they can see each other and from there you can press print. It’s not an idea, but it’s still a solution.
Finally, an easier way to connect the printer to the iPhone or iPad is through dedicated apps from printer manufacturers such as HP ePrint, Xerox Print Portal and Epson iPrint. These work much more like AirPrint, the app speaks to the printer and on. Take a look at your app store to see if your printer manufacturer has an app that works with your printer.

Meet Customized Caviar iPhone X Classic Gold, Costs Over N1.6M

IPhone devices are premium gadgets for those that holds high esteem as they are usually pricey. The iPhone X was the most expensive smartphone from Apple last year and it was produced in limited numbers and colors.

The iPhone X was officially launched in two colors and non were gold whereas some people prefer golden colored phones. This has made some fans loose interest in it but hey, a Russian company known for making "rugged phones" has come up with an amazing design that now adds Gold to the already premium device.

The company is introducing not one but two golden iPhone X variants, and as usual this isn't just a different paintjob. Instead, you're treated to a pure 24K gold coating, because if you're going to buy a gold iPhone X you deserve the real thing.

The two versions are called Classic Gold and Classic Liquid Gold, the former retailing for a whopping $4,510, while the latter will set you back an even more eye-watering $4,805 (based on the current exchange rates).

Meet Asus Zenfone 5, The iPhone X Clone With AI Features

It's no longer a new thing seeing some smartphone companies cloning Apple products. The latest victim is the iPhone X that is now cloned and named Asus Zenfone 5.

So Asus Zenfone 5 is a clone of the iPhone X,
Asus Zenfone 5

Asus however claimed that its notch is “26% smaller than the Fruit Phone X” though and then uses a wallpaper that hides the notch in the phone’s official images. Sigh. One is not sure what to make of this. If you are proud of it, flaunt it, please.

The devices looks similar in appearance and the cloned version has an impressive 90% screen-to-body ratio.

You can easily spot the Apple iPhone X influence imprinted in the front and back of the phone, from the notch to the camera location. And on the inside, the iPhone X touch is visible too.

Now here is another interesting one, there is Zenimoji, something similar to Apple's Animoji and Asus revealed that ZeniMoji avatars can be used in video chats, live-streaming, and regular text chats.

ASUS ZENFONE 5 SPECIAL FEATURES
The device comes with several AI features including the AI Charging, which dynamically adjusts the charging rate by monitoring the user’s charging habits. The main advantage this technology is to help maximize the battery lifespan.

Another feature is the AI Ringtone which intelligently adjusts the ringer volume according to the ambient noise level, so the phone rings louder on a noisy street and quieter in a serene hotel lounge. Nice right?

Another one is AI Scene Detection in the camera, and its work is to analyse the subject and matches it to one of its 16 scene types.

There is also an AI Photo Learning which lets you teach the ZenFone 5 how you want your photos to look. It then automatically adjusts the camera settings for future shots — so photos will always reflect your unique style preferences.

Other basic features of Zenfone 5 smartphone are the trendy dual camera setup, stereo speakers, fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE and VoLTE, and others which are listed later on this post.

Meanwhile, don't forget there is a more powerful variant of the Asus Zenfone 5 called the Zenfone 5Z. We have all the technical details below.

Free Download Official iPhone X Wallpaper For Android and iPhone

The iPhone X is Apples flagship device and also one of the best phones in the world at the moment.

The device has a full bezel-less screen design as well as a Super Retina display, and above all, it has a unique wallpaper. But there is now a free download link for the iPhone X wallpaper.

The official iPhone X wallpaper has blurry colours and so gives a Bokeh-like effect. This makes the app icons on the screen look like they are in focus in the foreground and the wallpaper out of focus in the background. It is a lovely piece of work. Nice quote from mister Mo.

So if you have been admiring the iPhone X wallpaper but you don't have the phone, you can now download and activate the wallpaper on your smartphone whether Android or any other iPhone.

This IPhone X wallpaper can be used on Samsung Galaxy, Infinix, Motorola, TECNO, Nokia, or Xiaomi smartphone. It can even be activated on old blackberry phones.

Personally, I don't really fancy the wallpaper because it's too colorful for my liking. But I am sure, there are people that sees things differently because we all can't like the same thing.

So if you are interested, you can click the image below to download it.

After that, activate as your default wallpaper.

Remember that another name for iPhone X is the iPhone 10. It was the best phone produced by Apple in 2017.

Meet Caviar Customized iPhone X That Costs £34000 (N13,600,000)

Caviar, a company famously known for customizing and making unique phones out of the official ones and placing outrageous price tags on them has come this time around with a customized latest Apple flagship smartphone. The company has launched a unique single-copy iPhone X Imperial Crown with a golden coat of arms of the Russian Empire and over 300 engraved precious stones.

ABOUT THE CAVIAR CUSTOMIZED IPHONE X
The back is encrusted with 344 diamonds of different sizes. The phone also has a single line of 14 large rubies as well as a golden plaque of the two-headed eagle.

This unique iPhone X Imperial Crown uses 64 GB internal storage and will costs you a whopping RUB2,4 million, or €34,200, or about N13.6 Million in Nigerian Naira. (just for a phone?)

Of course, this is a phone for the elites and very wealthy personalities that want to extravagantly spend money on luxury.

Recall, the same company Caviar, recently launched an iPhone X with a solar panel on the back. They are also responsible for making the Nokia 3310 with a golden plaque of Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump’s faces.

Now the question is; can you spend such money on a phone? For me, hell NO!

It Will Cost You $279 (N100,440) to Repair iPhone X Screen if it Breaks

The Apple's iPhone X also known as iPhone 10 is currently the brands most prestigious flagship crooner. The smartphone is available for pre-order at the price of $999 (N369,640) and shipping of the phone takes up to 5 weeks to get to your destination at least for now.

However, Apple had just revealed a shocking analysis of iPhone X repair prices. The company published its flat-fee pricing for units that aren't covered by AppleCare+, and it turns out that if you know you're clumsy you probably shouldn't skip that.

If the screen of your iPhone X damages or develops fault, it will cost you $279 which is about N100,440 in Nigerian Naira. While for other damage you will pay $549 (about N197,640) to have it fixed.

Now when comparing this to what was set aside for other Apple devices, we have $169 and $399 for the iPhone 8 Plus (which starts sales at about $799), and $149 and $349 for the iPhone 8 (which starts at $699). So the repair pricing is pretty much in line with each handset's pricing as you can see from the stats.

Meanwhile, if you pay $199 for AppleCare+ on top of the $999 for your iPhone X, then you will spend just $29 for a screen repair and $99 for other damages.

Well, before you get scared, please this repair prices is exclusively for those in the United States so it may defer in other parts of the world.

Meet Hogwash S3, an iPhone X Clone that Runs Android 8

The phone cloners have come again and this time they have cloned the latest iPhone X (iPhone 10) and named it Hogwash S3. Now, the question is, does it really look like the much respected iPhone device? Well, we will get to know in the cause of this post.

The fact is iPhone devices are arguably the most cloned smartphones in the world. You can checkout iPhone 6 Plus Clone and iPhone 7 Clone. There is virtually a new clone of the iPhone every year and this year is no different, as we already have an iPhone X clone.

The Hotwav Symbol S3 or simply Hogwash S3 is an iPhone X clone that runs Android 8 Oreo out of the box.

FEATURES OF HOGWASH S3 IPHONE X CLONE

Unlike the iPhone that it copies, the Symbol S3’s attempt at hiding the top and bottom bezels is not as clever or as successful as the iPhone X’s. Many “bezel-less” smartphones actually have those top and bottom bezels. Yes; they hide them cleverly.

It sports a large 6-inch IPS display with 1440 x 720 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The S3 has two dual cameras – one on the front and the other at the back. The selfie dual camera is a 16 megapixel + 2 megapixel combination, while the rear has a 13 megapixel + 2 megapixel combination. The rear camera looks like that of the iPhone X too.

PERFORMANCE
How powerful is the clone? It is powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6739 processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM. Internal storage is 16 GB. As mentioned earlier, it runs Android 8 Oreo. Android OS is free, after all. Easy peasy. So, steal the iPhone X’s physical design and pour into the shell a serving of Android Oreo.

SEE ALSO: Samsung S8 Clone

In conclusion, it looks like the Apple iPhone X on the outside, both front and back, but the Hogwash S3… or Hotwav Symbol S3, is a very cheap version and not anywhere close to iPhone X performance.

iOS 11.0.3 is Causing Poor performance and Battery Issues

The latest Apple OS update that came as iOS 11.0.3 is reportedly filled with bugs that results to poor performance and poorer battery life, among other issues. IPhone and iPad users who upgraded to the iOS 11.0.3 are bitterly complaining about these issues on their devices. Some of these problems started right from iOS 11, with Apple rushing out updates (iOS 11.0.1, iOS 11.0.2, and now iOS 11.0.3). It appears that iOS11 has been bug-ridden all the way.

The most common of them all is battery "draining faster" but Wandera, a security firm, took time to investigate why iOS 11 users are running on empty. Their finding was that the average iDevice running iOS 11 lasts about 96 minutes which is about 2 hrs. This is too poor because some Android devices can last up to 24 hrs on a single charge. One of the bragging rights of Android fanboys.

So I have some of the other issues that users are complaining about after upgrading to iOS 11.0.3.

✔️ stability
✔️ Touch ID
✔️ Bluetooth.
✔️ Privacy
✔️ Calendar app not working
✔️ Homescreen time display disappears intermittently
✔️ home button not working at intervals
✔️ Frozen phone
✔️ Unresponsive display

A user complaining about battery drain had this to say:

My battery life sucks ever since the upgrade. Before the upgrade, I charged my iPad twice, sometimes 3 times a week. Now it needs to be charged everyday. Also, half the time I put it on the charger, it doesn’t charge. I rue the day I upgraded to iOS 11.
via

Similarly, a privacy bug which that allows unauthorized people to access private was photos on iPhones running iOS 11.0.3 was also detected.

The above screenshot is a tweet from a user who had updated to the current version in hopes of a fix.

READ: How Apple Provided a Fix For iOS 11.0.2 Bugs

Meanwhile, Apple has been alerted via their Twitter handle and let's hope things will be fixed as soon as possible.

How To Upgrade Your iPhone and iPad To iOS 11

Good news to Apple Fanboys and babes. Now you can upgrade your iOS device (iPhone or iPad) to iOS 11 with the guidlines on this post. The new iOS version comes with new features including Siri Google Assistant style, advanced file manager and maps.

Other features of iOS 11 are editing Live Photos, customizing the new Control Center, Emergency Mode, the hard G GIF Do not disturbed while driving and lot more. iOS 11 is the successor to iOS 10 but the former will bring a new Dock, an honest-to-goodness file-management system and drag-and-drop multitasking to iPad devices.

Now, assuming you are wondering how you can upgrade your device to this latest version, you are in the right place, here is a step by step guide on how to achieve that. There are two working methods to do this before you continue...

Ensure you prepare your device for iOS 11 by making a back up of your device and creating enough space to download the update. You'll need about 2GB of free space.

HOW TO UPGRADE YOUR DEVICE TO iOS 11

✔️ First Method
OTA Update:
This is the easiest method of firmware upgrade both in iOS and Android platforms. It's usually recommended to do it when connected to a free Wi-Fi or when you have enough internet data to burn.
If you are on a Wi-Fi network, you can upgrade to iOS 11 right from your device itself
no need for a computer or iTunes. Just connect your device to a power source and go to Settings > General > Software Update. After that, iOS will automatically check for an update, then prompt you to download and install iOS 11.

✔️ Second Method
Via iTunes:
Note: if your iTunes is not updated , kindly update to v12.7. After that, follow below guidelines;

1. Connect your iOS device to your system. Itunes should automatically pop up.

2. Click the iPhone or iPad icon in the top-left corner of iTunes, next to the drop-down menu for the various sections of your iTunes library.

3. Click on Check for Update > Download and Update.

4. Follow the prompts, accept the terms, and let iTunes will complete the process.

That's how to upgrade your iPhone and iPad to iOS 11. via.

Here is the full specifications of latest iPhone 8 which features wireless charging technology as well as other amazing features that will be revealed here. The new Apple phone runs on Apple's iOS 11 operating system which is the latest at the moment.
Iphone 8 wireless charging
The iPhone 8 looks similar to its predecessor, the iPhone 7 in terns of physical appearance. It has the same design and same screen size and resolution. This time though, there is glass both on the front and the back of the phone. But when comparing internal features, iPhone 8 beats the previous version in a bigger way as it has a more powerful OS, processor, GPU, advanced charging technology etc.

Now when talking about the specs of this iPhone 8, it features 4.7 inches display at 750 x 1334 pixels resolution. The iPhone 8 is dust and water resistant as it's IP68 certified. Meanwhile, it has only one SIM slot and no space for memory expansion via SDcard. In other words, you can't use a memory card on it so you have to make due with the 64/128GB inbuilt storage while the RAM capacity is 2GB.

In terms of photography, iPhone 8 has 12-megapixel back camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera for selfies and your video chats. It has fingerprint scanner, barometer sensor and many other sensors as listed in the phone specs sheet below in this article.

Moving over to one of the highlights of this device which is the "wireless charging" technology implemented on it, though the battery capacity isn't yet specified by Apple but the specs shows it supports reverse charging that will make it possible to also charge other phones through it.

So talking about iPhone 8 price in Nigeria, it will costs you around N300,000 Naira. The international price starts at $699. The phone was launched on September 12, 2017 and will be available in the market starting from September 22, 2017. Checkout the full specs and images below;

In conclusion, Apple is one of the most trusted and popular smartphone brands in the world hence the massive sales of any of their products. Though, personally i think iPhone devices are overrated in the sense that the hype accompanying their devices are just too much when compared to the actual device specs.

Although Apple doesn't hype, inflate or give out fake specs, when they tell you this is 12 megapixels, that's exactly what it is unlike some Chinese phone makers that will label a product to have 20 megapixels camera which is actually 8 megapixels in reality. But I still stand that iPhone devices are overated but good shaa. What do you think?

Reason Why iPhone 5, 5C & iPad 4 Users Are in Serious Trouble

Yes you heard me right. If you are currently using iPhone 5, iPhone 5c or even the iPad 4 device, you won't fancy what Apple has for you because your device will soon be in trouble. Remember the latest Apple OS is on the way and it's called iOS 11. While it's a good news for majority of Apple fans, it will be a heartbreak for users of old iOS devices. Do you want to know why? Don't worry bross, read on.

WHAT IS THE REASON?

According to Apple, iOS 11 will make iPhone 5, 5c and iPad 4 obsolete in terms of Apple ecosystem.
The latest iOS 11 will only run on devices with a 64-bit processor, this means it won’t be compatible with older devices like iPhone 5 or iPhone 5c and iPad 4 that used 32 bit processors.

DOES IT MEAN YOUR PHONE WILL BE COMPLETELY USELESS?

Capital NO! the phone will still work but you won’t be able to download the latest apps or perform security upgrades to protect against hackers and vulnerabilities.

In a bombshell, how will you feel if your device can install new apps or updated apps? How comfortable will be with a device that is vulnerable to hackers and malicious attacks? You see the reason why users of these categories iPhone devices are in serious trouble because of iOS 11?

Well, what's the way forward? Personally, I would suggest you ditch out your outdated device (if you are a tech savvy) or if you use it for some sensitive transactions or data recording. Get yourself a new device and give the older one to the younger ones around you or just sell them as iPhone has a better second hand value.

This is sad but in the world of technology, upgrade is required.

Man Jailed 6 Months for Refusing to Give Police his iPhone Passcode

Remember Ramona Fricosu? A Colorado woman was ordered to unlock her encrypted Toshiba laptop while the FBI was investigating alleged mortgage fraud in 2012, but she declined to decrypt the laptop saying that she did not remember the password.

Later the United States Court ruled that Police can force defendants to decrypt their electronic devices, of course, as it does not violate the Fifth Amendment that prevents any citizen from having to incriminate themselves.

Forgetting passwords for your electronic devices could be a smart move to avoid complying with a court order, but not every time, as US judges have different opinions on how to punish those who do not compel the order to unlock their phones.
On a single day last week, one defendant got six months jail for allegedly refusing to reveal his iPhone passcode, while a second defendant walks through after he claimed he forgot his passcode.

According to security report, a Florida circuit court judge ruled last week that child abuse defendant Christopher Wheeler, 41, must serve 180 days in jail for not handing over the correct 4-digit code to unlock his iPhone to police, while he insisted that the passcode he gave to officers was correct.

"I swear, under oath, I've given [the detectives] the password," Wheeler said.
Wheeler was arrested earlier this year for allegedly hitting and scratching his daughter. He was taken into custody in a Broward Circuit Court on Tuesday after the cops were not able to access the phone using the passcode provided by him.

Investigators believe that the defendants iPhone may contain photos of his child's injuries, according to the Miami Herald.
However, in a different court, another Florida judge let off an extortion case defendant, even though he also claimed to have forgotten the passcode for his BlackBerry phone.

Wesley Victor and his girlfriend Hencha Voigt (a reality TV personality) both are accused of threatening to release sex tapes stolen from local social media celeb YesJulz unless she paid $18,000.

The judge made the right call," Victor's lawyer Zeljka Bozanic said. "My client testified he did not remember. It's been almost a year. Many people, including myself, can't remember passwords from a year ago.

The sex tapes of YesJulz ended up on the Internet, but there is no evidence Victor or Voigt posted them online.
Voigt is also facing contempt of court charges and scheduled to appear in front of a judge next week because the passcode she provided to authorities for her phone was incorrect.

The Fifth Amendment gives defendants rights to not to say anything that could be used against them and a secret password or passcode is personal information protected by this amendment, but the above cases underscore the dilemma faced by law enforcement officials in dealing with the password and encryption issue.
It seems like the final word on passwords and encryption will likely have to come from the United States Supreme Court before.

How To Disable iPhone Camera Sounds When Taking Pictures

When taking pictures with an iPhone, the camera sound makes it realistic as if you are shooting with a normal stand-alone digital camera which is fun but in some cases and situations, you wouldn't want people to know you are taken photos and iOS made it so complicated that most users don't know how to disable the camera sound when taking a secret snapshots. This same thing happens on Android devices but the settings to turn it off is more simpler than on iOS devices so let's see how to stop this cam sound 🔊

HOW TO DISABLE iPHONE CAMERA SOUND
✔ Tap on the Mute button on the side of your iPhone before taking a picture.
✔️ Alternatively, you can launch the music app and play a song. Then lower the volume of the song to zero, then launch the Camera app and take your photo.

✔ You can also disable Camera sounds on your jailbroken iPhone. All you have to do is to rename the sound effect file within the operating system to disable iPhone camera sounds. There are several ways to do this, which include:
✔ Using a Jailbreak app to mute the shutter sound: The app is called Silent Photo Chill. It mutes the sound of both your iPhone camera and screenshots.
✔️ To rename the sound file on your iPhone, you need a tool called iExplorer or iFile on your jailbroken phone.
✔️ First, connect your iDevice to SSH.
✔️ Then use this command to rename the shutter sound effect: mv/System/Library/Audio/UISounds/photoShutter.caf to /System/Library/audio/UISounds/photoShutter-off.caf.

Is this post helpful? I hope it answers your question as to how to stop sounds when taking photos with an iPhone. Let's hope Apple make it more easier in future.
