Recall: How To Add Bold, Italics And Strikethrough, Quote In Whatsapp Chat

It is no more news that latest version of WhatsApp now allows users to add some special characters like Strikethrough, Italics and Bold text and quote in chats but some WhatsApp users are still not aware of this new features. Some are even confused 😕 when someone uses it on WhatsApp and they will be like.... Guy how you take do this thing? Lol 😁

Now, it's time for you to grab the trick and apply your own style while chatting on WhatsApp as it is the most popular chatting platform at the moment which have outscored text messaging services.

Also, WhatsApp introduced the "quote" feature which lets you quote someone else message either on private chat or in a group chat. This is a welcome development and important feature as it helps and eases communication among WhatsApp users. I will also show you how to do that here.

Make sure you have the updated WhatsApp or kindly head to playstore and update yours

How To Add Bold, Italics, Strikethrough And Quote On WhatsApp

1. Bold:
Add an asterisk (*) before and after the specific words or phrases you want to embolden e.g. *WizyTechs*

2. Italics:
Add an underscore (_) before and after your chosen words or phrases e.g. _WizyTechs_

3. Strikethrough:
Add a tilde (~) before and after the words or phrases you want to strike a line through e.g. ~WizyTechs~

4. Quote:
Press and hold the the particular message you want to quote and some options will appear at the top, now select the arrow painting as you can see on the screenshot above. Then type your message and send.

That's all. Now you can be pulling out these tricks while you chat on WhatsApp.
