Infinix Zero 4 is one of the outstanding devices released by Infinix Mobility in 2016 as it packs some impressive specs at a considerable price. Meanwhile, real Android users understands the importance of rooting and would like to root their lovely device but the regular method (with kingroot) previously used seems not to be working for most of the phones running android 6 marshmallow OS so we now use a different method in rooting which involves installation of specially dedicated Zip files.
Before we go into the tricky part of this tutorial, shall we take a quick look at some of the key specs of this phone?

  1. Your PC
  2. latest sp flash tool ( install on your pc )
  3. Also install correctly vcomm drivers ( You may refer here )
  4. Zero 4 original USB Cable
  5. Finally, patience
  1. Download zero 4 recovery.img here
  2. Download SuperSU zip here
DISCLAIMER:Please adhere strictly to the guides and procedures on this tutorial as we won't be blaimed if you get your phone bricked as a result of ignorance or not folowing the procedures rightly. Ensure you are conversant with flashing of roms with SP Flash Tool before carrying out this process. This tutorial is exclusively for Infinix Zero 4 X574 and not Infinix Zero 4 Plus X602
  1. Download Infinix zero 4 recovery.img from the link above
  2. After that, extract the file you downloaded in one folder (scatter file and recovery.img should be in one folder)
  3. Now launch your sp flash tool, as stated above, (you need to have vcomm drivers already installed on your pc)
  4. Then click on Load scatter, and select the scatter file from the folder you extracted the files you downloaded to
  5. Next, click on download to start flash ( At this stage switch off your zero 4 )
  6. You may now Connect your phone to the pc while switched off

NOTE : you should see a red progress bar, followed by a yellow one and finally a tick appears to show that the recovery has been flashed successfully
Disconnect your device from the pc

NB: Do not boot your device normally at this stage otherwise you will be stuck in boot logo

Download SuperSU zip from the link provided above
Move it to root of your external sdcard (by root of SD card, we meant not in any folder at all)
Now boot into recovery (Press volume up + power key until the devices vibrates, release the power key and then press it again without releasing the volume up until the device vibrates again this time showing infinix logo)
Once in recovery, Go to >> Install Zip >> Choose zip from Sdcard >> now locate Supersu and install
After the successful flash, Reboot your device and do not interrupt while booting. Your Infinix Zero 4 is now rooted. You can confirm it by using Root checker application which you can easily download from Google playstore.Are you still confused? Am ready to guide you more via the comments box.
