Huawei Mate 10 Features Android 8 Oreo, Dua Leica Cameras

Huawei has launched two flagship devices coming as Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro. Both smartphones are remarkable upgrade to the Mate 10 Lite Maimang released last month. In fact, some techies are saying the new mate 10 phones can compete with the likes of iPhone 8 in performance. Do you agree? Okay let's see the features of this device from Huawei.

The Mate 10 runs on Android 8 Oreo out of the box. It features a big 5.9-inch LCD display with 16:9 aspect ratio (sorry no 18:9 ratio here). It has an IP53 rated body. There a Leica-branded dual camera setup at the rear too though.

In terms of performance, it use a HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset/processor clocked at 2.4 GHz and coupled with 4 GB of RAM and an Internal storage of 64 GB. To keep the lights on, the phone makes use of 4000mAh battery. Kindly refer to below specs sheet for the full device specifications.

  1. Huawei also unveiled a number of accessories for the Mate 10 phones. There is a SuperCharge car charger, a SuperCharge Power Bank with support for 4.5V/5A low voltage fast charge, EnVizion 360° camera and a smart scale.

  2. Our ardent readers should also note that the biggest differentiator for Huawei this year is the Kirin 970 chip, developed in-house at the company’s HiSilicon semiconductor arm.

    The Kirin 970 includes what Huawei is calling an NPU, or neural processing unit, which is designed to handle tasks related to AI and deep learning.

    Apple announced much the same with the iPhone 8 and X’s A11 Bionic chip, which includes a “neural engine,” but Huawei is leaning harder into making the Kirin 970’s NPU a core feature of the device.
