How To Upgrade Tecno Camon C8 To Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS

Finally, Tecno Mobile have decided to release Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Tecno Camon C8 after a very long wait. Last year, Tecno promised to release the update for this their camera equipped SmartPhone by February this year but they failed to fulfill that promise.

This lead to fans asking several questions on Tecno site and on this blog because i published a post about it when they made it public that their update will be available by February.

The good news now is that they have officially released it and as usual, i am going to guide you on how to upgrade your Tecno Camon C8 that is currently running on android 5.1 lollipop to the android 6.0 Marshmallow version.

This update comes with two methods, you can either update your tecno Camon C8 via SD card or by using SP Flash tool but for at the moment, i will work you through to the steps to update using SD card method and the SP flashtool method will be discussed later. Follow me along...


THINGS REQUIRED
==> Download Tecno Camon C8 marshmallow update here (it is 868MB in size)
==> Charge your device to at least 70%
==> Unroot the phone if it is rooted to avoid stories that touches the heart.


PROCEDURES TO UPGRADE TECNO CAMON C8

==> Place the Tcard_update_20160415 on your SD Card (It shouldn't be kept or saved i any folder)

==> Power off your Camon C8 device

==> Now boot into the bootloader by holding the Power Button + Volume Up until the startup logo appears, then leave the Power Button Only and you should see the android logo.


==> Again, long-press the Power Button for about 3 seconds, then simply press the Volume Up button this time around without releasing the power button till an image like this appears.


==> Remember whenever you want to navigate around in this mode, you will make use of Volume Up ⬆ or Down ⬇ buttons so use Volume Down to navigate to "Apply update from sdcard" and tap the power button 🔲 to select it.

==> You will be welcomed into a new interface just as you can see from this image.


Now utilize the Volume down ⬇ button to navigate to Tcard_update_20160415 and simply tap the power button to select it

==> At this point, the installation process will start and when it is done, you will see a screen like this. Just reboot your phone and you are all done.


Remember that the rebooting process could take up to 8 minutes so there is no cause for alarm. Relax and wait patiently, when it is finally completed, you will see Tecno HiOS and Marshmallow 6.0 on your Tecno Camon C8 SmartPhone 📱

Finally Infinix Hot 2 X510 Get Bugs Fix With Latest Android 6.0 Update With RAM Booster

Hello to all the Infinix Hot 2 users in the house. Now there is a fix for all the bugs you have encountered on your device after updating your Infinix hot 2 to Android 6.0 Marshmallow sometime ago. You expected an improved device with new amazing features when you saw the update rolled out on your phone and you quickly updated to latest Android 6.0 but it all turned out to be deadly and a regrettable act as the bugs noticed with the update were more than too much which prompted many people to downgrade back to Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Some of the most common bugs noticed with that update was disappearance of contacts names on phone book, faulty camera, not seeing phone memory and lots more.

So if you have downgraded before, kindly update again and if you are still on the Marshmallow OS, kindly navigate to your system update, there you will see Android 6.0 update version (852MB) available, it is the March, 2016 edition. Just download and install it. Also remember to do it when your phone is charged very well and make sure you have enough data (MB) and Internet connection to avoid messing the whole thing up.


WHAT YOU SHOULD DO BEFORE UPGRADING

==> If your Infinix hot 2 is rooted already, kindly Unroot it before installing this update to be in a safer side

==> It is advisable to leave your SD card inside your phone while the upgrading process is going on, especially if you have already backed up your files and documents or else, they may not appear again after upgrading without the SD card inside. I hope you get it.


I AM ON ANDROID 5.1 AND 5.0, AM I SAVE TO UPGRADE TO ANDROID 6.0?
Yes if you are on lollipop, you are free to upgrade as long as the update for March edition is showing on your devices. The bugs noticed before has been fixed.

WHAT OF THOSE THAT ARE UNABLE TO INSTALL AND UPDATE FROM THEIR PHONE?

Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Is Now Available For Samsung Galaxy S5

Good news to all users of one time Samsung's flagship devices, the Samsung Galaxy S5 as latest Android M, Marshmallow update is now popping every minutes. Since the last two months, we have seen many devices being crowned with the golden crown of Marshmallow and Galaxy S5 is now among the prestigious members of Android M.

Though this update is currently rolling out for a particular Galaxy S5 variant with the model number SM-G900L and this variant is understood to operate on a South Korean carrier but we are expecting this update to spread to all variants of galaxy S5 in no time.

How To Upgrade TECNO Camon C8 HiOS OTA - Beta Version

Users of Tecno Camon C8 have waited and waited for an OTA update for their baby girl but it's not forthcoming even after the given date by Tecno which was far back February came and gone. This is one major issue that Tecno devices have and I don't know why they are still relenting on this OTA issues.

Anyway, they made announcement again few hours ago promising that the OTA update for Tecno Camon 8 will arrive between now and the next 10 days but while we wait for it, let me show you how to update your Tecno Camon C8 to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

This HiOS Beta Version will make your TECNO phone appear unique, more smarter and fun to use. The size is about 40M.

THINGS NEEDED
==> Be sure that your phone is fully charged or have at least 90% battery energy.
==> Make a backup of your device data, files and every other important things before you proceed.
==> Unroot your device( though not compulsory) but it will be safer if not rooted

DOWNLOAD LINKS
==> Download OTA Upgrade version for Build number: C8-H352-A2-L-20160118 only

==> Download TCard update version for other built number
==> Download HiFlash tool

PROCEDURES/GUIDES
==> Unzip the OTA differential package you downloaded initially from the link I provided above.

2. Take the update.zip and place it into SD Card root. (Not in any folder)


3. Now put the SD card inside the mobile T-card slot.
4. Reboot your device by holding power and volume-up buttons simultaneously until startup image displays.
5. You will see the Android and warning label.


6. Now just hold the power button only for two seconds then press volume-up without removing your hand on the power button key to enter the following interface.



7. At this point, press the volume-down key to select “aectpply update from SD card”.


8. Use the power button to select the following interface, and press volume-down key to select “d”.


9. Again use the power button to confirm your selection for the following interface.


10. Interface automatically changes after process is complete; default selection is set to “reboot system now”, as show in the picture.


11. Press power button to restart and initiate OS.

12. Select “Settings” and then “About Phone”. A change in version number indicates the upgrade was successfully completed.
