Meet Freedom 251, Cheapest Android Phone In The World

Freedom 251 Android smartphone is currently the Cheapest smartphone in the world and it costs less than N1000 (Nigerian Naira) and $3.8. Oh! You are thinking within you right now that the specs and features will be completely wacky right? Well, your guess is wrong because the specs of this phone is not that bad except for the battery capacity which is a no go area but you can simply support that with a power bank.

What if I tell you the phone has a 1gb RAM capacity? Chill... I will tell you other specs of this device later on this post but before then, let me do a little introduction to this most affordable android phone in the world. Freedom 251 is an affordable phone that is just released some hours ago in India and it got many people all over the world surprised at the selling price. The phone is meant to help those that couldn't afford smartphone in India. However, we expect it to extend to other countries like China, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and even South Africa soon.

According to its Ringing Bells, the 251 is meant to "empower citizens, even in the remotest rural and semi-urban centers of India, with the latest in digital technology." As for the company behind the smartphone, it's called Ringing Bells, and it was incorporated just five months ago. As the smartphone is being made under Prime minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious plan to "empower each and every one in India". So I think the Indian government is subsiding the Freedom 251 for her citizens. Can other country's Presidents emulate this?

Talking of camera features, the smartphone features a 3.2-Mega Pixel back camera and a 0.3-Mega Pixel front shooter camera. One amazing feature that really got my eyes raised was that the freedom 251 phone runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop), but am not satisfied with the battery capacity at all. It's the major drawback on this phone. It has only a 1,450mAh battery capacity. Other features includes the Connectivity options and ports which are not limited to 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS, you can get the phone in white, black or gold color from Ringing Bell.
