Android 7.0 Nougat Update For Samsung Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge Now Available

Great news, Samsung has started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge smartphones in India, this is coming after the company pushed the update for the S7 and S7 edge smartphones in the country back in February.

Samsung is well known for rolling out timely updates for their devices and even the Galaxy Note5 received the Nougat update recently. So let's talk about the new features and changelogs on this new update.

This latest update brings along several UX and performance fixes, including...

✔️ always-on display
✔️ enhancements to the system upgrade
✔️ app installation process
✔️ option to add blue light filter to limit the amount of blue light emitted by the screen
✔️ high performance mode that increases the display brightness by 10%

The size of Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy S6 is 1235.04MB in size and has build number G920IDVU3FQD1. For the Galaxy S6 edge it is 1247.36MB in size and has build number G925IDVU3FQD1.

It's simple because you can do it straight away from your phone without a PC. The update is OTA which means it's pushed into your phone. All you have to do is to download and install. But before you start, make sure your Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge is not rooted and if it's rooted, kindly unroot.

Then ensure the phone is charged up to 80% and make sure you have enough Internet data (about 2GB) then you can go on with the process.

Go to your phone settings, locate "about phone" tap on "system updates" and you should see the new update. Finally tap on the update button and wait while the new update is installed. After installation, it will take some minutes for it to reboot so be patient while the process is ongoing. After that, you will see the new interface and features that Android 7.0 Nougat brings
