TStv Keynote Address To The Public After Official Launch

We wish to respectfully convey the sincere gratitude of Telcom Satellites Ltd owners of “TStv Africa” to a wide range of stakeholders’ including but not limited to our key note speakers at the official unveiling and launch of TStv Africa held at Sheraton Hotel and Towers (Ladi Kwali Hall), Abuja on 1st October 2017.

The keynote speakers included Alhaji Lai Mohammed the Honorable Minister of Information, Culture and Orientation, Deaconess Grace Isu Gekpe, The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Information, Culture and Orientation and a host of other eminent Nigerians who took time to eulogize the digital pay TV revolutionary experience.

One remarkable fact in their respective speeches was the recognition and appreciation of the first wholly owned Nigeria Pay TV brand with its bold, innovative and unique product and service offerings to Nigerians. They equally pledged in very clear words of expression the full support of the Federal Government towards the growth and sustenance of the operations of TStv Africa as a means of promoting the local content drive of the Federal Government.

Dr. Bright Echefu MD/ CEO of Telcom Satellites Ltd who conceived the idea of a through-the-line Pay TV platform that is embedded with advanced technological features some three years ago and painstakingly actualized the said dream “TStv Africa” with the constructive engagement and support of a wonderful, dedicated and dynamic team further thrilled the mammoth crowd by highlighting the novel features of the TStv Africa smart decoder with over 70 amazing TV channels and highly educative, informative and entertaining programs that cut across all genres and classes of subscribers.

The smart decoder has unique and exciting features that include the Pay-Per-view (PPV), Pause Subscription that enables the subscribers manage their subscriptions, the PVR function that enables subscribers to record and replay their favorite programs at their convenience, the Wi Fi feature for easy internet connectivity and Video call facility that enables subscribers to stay connected with family and loved ones online real time irrespective of distance.

Furthermore, the MD/CEO also informed the general public of the complementary internet data as a value added service (VAS) that comes with subscription to enable subscribers surf the internet anytime, anywhere at no extra cost. It could be used by an individual or group of individuals as the smart decoder serves as a router for a maximum of 15 users.

  4. The Federal Government has granted a 3-year tax relief to the newly inaugurated Pay TV operator in the country, TStv Africa, as well as tax-freeTSTV dividends to all investors in the company.

  7. TSTVAFRICA should have aired their channels without any encryption keys for a period of time so that we the end users could test and confirm their picture qualities.

    The decoders should also have been made readily available to all dealers and sub dealers.
