The feature is expected to be rolled out soon for everyone but for now, it has been spotted by WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp update tracker. It revealed that the feature is seen in WhatsApp beta for Android v2.18.67, and that the feature is disabled by default.

It comes alongside with stickers feature first spotted on a Windows Phone beta. Both features are disabled by default. This means you have to enabled them from settings for it to start working.
