How To Delete Any Of Your Google Activities Online

Are you aware that Google takes record of all your activities online? Activities such as the websites you visit, what you type on google search, the YouTube videos you watch, the pictures you download, the voice chat or search you make and more are stored in Google's server.

So when you think you are all alone when trying to visit those hidden sites, just remember that Google is seeing you, Lol 😂. But don't worry, you can always delete Google's copy of those your activities they have by the time you are done reading this simple guide.

So this post is about how to delete your Google Activities stored in the server because Google may have a complete list of almost everything you’ve ever looked at while logged in online.

But if you are such a person that love to keep your data private, then you will find this info useful. Another method to stay away from the Googles prying eyes 👀 is to use Incognito mode while browsing.

Here is how to see and delete everything Google knows and keep about your online activities.

HOW CAN I DELETE MY GOOGLE ACTIVITIES?

1. Login to your google account

2. Go to My Activity and see for yourself everything Google have stored about your online secret activities. You can choose to delete them one by one or leave them for future purposes

3. You can turn it off by heading to Activity Control here before deselecting Web & App Activity, uncheck “Include Chrome browsing history and activity from websites and apps that use Google services”

4. On the same “Activity Controls” page, users can also disable location tracking, contact and calendar storing, Google’s ability to record and store your voice recordings, and YouTube search and watch history.

That's how to delete or remove your online activities that google stored. Well, these data is sometimes useful to you because Google actually uses your active to know exactly what you like doing online and serve you results or ads related to what you usually like.

For instance, if you like visiting a particular website frequently, google will most likely show the site first to you in search engine whenever you try searching keywords related to what that site has. Similarly, in YouTube, google displays videos similar to the ones you usually watch to you.

Apart from that, these information is also used for some Google's analytical purposes in terms of traffic stats, locations, keywords etc.

  2. Those of us that had used a BB phone back then will vehemently agree with me that when watching x-rated films, we use to off the settings that allows our friends to know what we were doing.

    I never liked that feature

  3. Its a human tendency to hide their internet search activities with anyone. So its better to erase everything on daily basis. I am trusting a tool called BitRaserfor all these activities and till date it never disappoint me.

  4. I’m curious about that as well. As far as I know this doesn’t delete everything as google will still keep records for auditing purposes. Googles latest policy is that they will anonymize the last octet of your IP address after 9 months(This could prevent someone from identifying you but they could still isolate your locality).Within 18 months they will anonymize cookies with a HMAC key hash function usinga randomly generated key for each day of logs that will get deleted immediately after anonymization. These practices also applies to back-ups on tapes. How long google keeps the anonymized data there-after I’m not really sure. If you have or had a google account (gmail, etc.) they have two independent systems. The web search server will log a query without your Account ID or email and at the same time your Web History Database is updated with the search query. This can prevent third parties from identifying you but wont do much for government or law enforcement. If you wish to delete your account it could take up to 90 days at which point everything is wiped but the email address since googledoes not recycle them. This is my best understanding of the policy.
