How I Check Diamond Bank Account Balance With My Phone

Diamond bank customers can now check their account balance with mobile phone without internet connection right from the comfort of your home, office, shop and anywhere else without paying visit to the ATM or bank office.

Sometime ago, i published a post on how i check my GTBank, UBA account balance and Eco Bank Account Balance with my mobile phone and today, I feel it's right to reveal how i also check my Diamond bank account details via my phone any time of the day without internet or data.

Technology has made banking a lot easier and less complicated as many financial institution now adopt both online and offline services (USSD/SMS) to help their customers perform basic transactions by themselves. This is the reason, Diamond bank introduced the Diamond Bank Self Service which you can access both online and offline using the official dedicated number 07003000000. Remember GTBank offers similar service with their *737# magic code.

With Diamond Care, you can not only check your account details, but also perform other activities such as instantly deactivating your ATM card, making inquiries, and lots more.

HOW I CHECK MY ACCOUNT BALANCE WITH DIAMOND CARE SERVICES:

✔ Of course i have account with Diamond Bank so i have a valid Diamond Debit Card number with me
✔ I dialed 0700-300-0000 and followed the voice prompts
✔ Then i pressed 1 to select the "Account Balance" option
✔ After that, I entered my 16-digit debit card number and then pressed #
✔ When i pressed the # key, I was prompted to enter a 4-digit "self-service code" (this has been sent from Diamond to my registered phone number)
✔ So for more security, I changed the default self-service code sent to me to my own preferred 4-digit code. You can do same.
✔ Immediately i changed the code, viam!!! My account balance for the card was sent to me just like that.

It's as simple as that. Do you know you can also request that your account balance be immediately sent to your registered phone number via a voice prompt? But i prefer text/SMS option

How To Generate GTBank Token Code Via USSD From Your Phone

Internet banking has come to stay and there is no doubt about that because it can only get better as time goes on. Gone are the days of long queues in the banking halls just to withdraw money from one's account.

If you are conversant with Internet transactions like buying stuffs online and paying for NEPA, DSTV, Flight Ticket, School fees etc online with your bank details, you will notice that you require a token from your bank to complete the transaction. It is a security measure to verify you are the real owner of the account and makes you unique.

In many banks, the token is a hardware that you carry around just like the way you take your debit cards along with you but GTB recently introduced a better way to use it without carrying it around. With your phone, you can now generate your unique internet banking token by dialing a designated USSD code from your handset, cell phone, mobile phone or tablet.

How You Can Generate Your Own GTBank Token Code Through USSD?
==> Dial **737*7# on the phone you used while opening your GTB account. i.e the phone number that is linked or associated with your GTBank account

==> Enter the NUBAN account number (you bank account number)
==> Finally, enter the last 6 digits of your GTBank debit card.

You unique token will be shown to you.

NOTE**
Every generated token expires at exactly 60 seconds which is 1 minute. So take note of that.

I think this is much better instead of wasting another extra N2,000 to request for a hardware token. I hope other banks follow suite.

You Can Now Report Any Bank That Charges You Excessively To CBN

Nigerians has now been given the freedom to report any bank in which they are doing business with that Charges them illegally or Excessively direct to Central Bank Of Nigeria.

You can recall that recently Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) gave similar privilege to Nigerians making use of telecommunication networks which includes me and you that are using cell phones to Report Any network operator that Charges Excessively or deducts money illegally from their SIM cards.

HINT: To report any GSM network provider like MTN, Glo, Etialat or Airtel to NCC for extra charges or disturbing SMS, just dial this toll free number 622 to lay your complaint.

Now that we have the privilege to report our banks that Charges us illegally, I think it will put some fear on them and make them cautious next time. It's another good news from the government.

According to what CBN representative Ibrahim Mu'azu said; "in a bid to put a stop to the series of complaints from bank customers alleging excessive and, in some cases, illegal charges from their respective banksaround the country, the central bank of Nigeria (CBN) has urged bank customers to report illegal and excessive charges by their banks to it (CBN)."

You as a bank customer is obliged to send your complaints to the Director, Consumer Protection Department with this email cpd@cbn.gov.ng

This is our right and our turn to stand for our right. Let's not sit and watch others mess around with our hard earned money.

You can get the full information from CBN about this with this link http://www.cbn.gov.ng/Out/2016/CCD/CBN_Press_Statement_Bank-charges.pdf
