Facebook To Start Bypassing Adblockers, Forcing Ads Display On Your Devices

In a recent blog post Facebook explained that it will soon start displaying adverts even if an adblock is installed in a web browser. The social media giant continued by indicating that ads serving is crucial for the growth and existence of the platform and insisted that ads are not totally bad especially targeted ads.

So in order to maintain relevant ads serving for users, Facebook will display ads according to each person's preference and interest. Below is an excerpt from the statement.

"We've designed our ad formats, ad performance and controls to address the underlying reasons people have turned to ad blocking software. When we asked people about why they used ad blocking software, the primary reason we heard was to stop annoying, disruptive ads.
As we offer people more powerful controls, we'll also begin showing ads on Facebook desktop for people who currently use ad blocking software."

No word on when this will actually kickoff but it seems it's starting very soon.
