5 Flash Charging Problems of Infinix Phones and Solutions (Fix It)

Charging problem is the major issue with most Infinix Hot Note X551, Hot Note Pro, Infinix Note 2 and many other infinix phones with fast charging technology and i have outlined the possible causes and solutions to the problem on this post.

Having used most of these Infinix phones, I myself encountered such problems and one of my jobs on this blog wizytechs.com is to provide solutions to others, help others using my own experience so that life will be easy for us all. Talking about slow changing or no charging issues, Infinix phones have PHD award for it but if you follow the guidelines here, you will be able to fix it.

HOW INFINIX FLASH CHARGER WORKS
"For the Infinix Hot Note phones to charge via the Infinix Flash Charging technology, they must be charged with a special Infinix Charger. The special Infinix charger has dual power output system; a basic 5V===2A/7V===2A output option and higher power 9V===1.5A/12V===1.5A output option. As printed on the special charger, the output option on use is automatically determined by the load. For example when you load the charger with a standard phone, the power output defaults to 5V===2A/7V===2A option. However, when a phone like the Infinix Hot Note that has big 4000mAh Battery or the Infinix Hot Note 2 is loaded, the power output defaults to the 9V===1.5A/12V===1.5A option. At the higher voltage power output option, the Infinix Hot Note charges to capacity in less than two hours – a charging system that Infinix has named Flash Charging. Normally, most phones charge to capacity in four to six hours." quote

INFINIX CHARGING PROBLEMS AND HOW TO FIX THEM
1. Charging Indicator Not Displaying
First thing you need to do is check if your charger is not burnt or affected by high electricity voltage. You can do this by smelling it, if you have a blocked nostrils give someone else to passive it for you. 😂

2. Phone Showing Charging But No Battery Bar/percent Added
If the charger adapter is okay then you need to check your USB Cable. We all know the Infinix USB Cable that comes with the phone is of low quality. Replace it with another original cable.

3. Charger Charges Other Phones Except My Infinix Phone
The possible cause of this one is your phone "charging port" it need to be replaced with a functional one.

4. Phone Doesn't Charge Up To 100%
Sometimes your Infinix Smartphone might be faced with this charging issue, to solve it, allow the battery to run down to about 2%, then plug it back to power source (night charging preferable). If that didn't work, then download "battery calibrator" from playstore to run a check on your phone battery and fix some of the bugs that causes this problem.

5. Phone Charging Too Slow
If your infinix Hot Note x551 or Hot Note Pro or any other infinix phone that uses the fast charging technology stops charging fast, you need to replace the USB cord, if that didn't fix the problem, them try charging with another original infinix flash charger and if it still didn't charge fast, then it's obvious the charging port is faulty and needs replacement.

I noticed that the major cause of these charging problems is faulty USB cable which you should replace with another one (original) to restore the flash charging (fast charging) again

WHAT TO DO IF THE ABOVE SOLUTIONS FAILS
If after applying all the methods above and still your phone refuses to charge quick as before, then your last resort is visiting Calcare Office close to your location to get it fixed free of charge as long as your phone is still under warranty

WHICH OTHER CHARGER CAN CHARGE MY INFINIX PHONE FAST?

  1. Place the downloaded rom in the root of your external SD card (not inside a folder)
  2. Boot to CWM Recovery Mode (Power Off your Phone and then Press Power Button + Volume Up Button until the Recovery)
  3. Go to WIPE menu and select CLEAN TO INSTALL A NEW ROM, confirm when prompted
  4. After the wiping is done, navigate to install menu and choose install zip from sdcard1
  5. Navigate to the ROM zip and select it to flash... Wait for the flashing procedure to finish
  6. Once flashing is done, REBOOT your device

Hello guys and ladies, permit me to show you how to root Infinix Hot 4 X557 Smartphone and install TWRP recovery on it. The Hot 4 runs on Android 6 Marshmallow OS and just like other devices on that version of android operating system, rooting hasn't been so easy especially with the popular rooting app Kingroot that's why we now resort to porting of TWRP recovery before we can be able to root with a new method.

Infinix Hot 4 is among the recently released android phones to join the league of the Hot Series with budget friendly specs except for the absence of 4G LTE support.

Rooting of Android phone is arguably the first task a tweaker or geek would do once he or she gets a new phone because of the tremendous benefits coming from it.   2. On your mobile, go to settings > click on about > and tap on "build number" 8 times, a prompt will come up saying "you are now a developer" , after which go back, you should see developer option, click on it and then turn on USB debugging.
  3. After which, extract the MT65x3_USB_VCOM_DRIVER.zip and install the pre-loader VCOM drivers simply by running the "Installdriver.exe" file.
  4. Now make sure you have extracted the files above extract SP flash tool to your PC and launch the flash_tool.exe file.
  5. After which, you extract the TWRP, you should find scatter text in the zip.
  6. Launch your flash_tool.exe file, click on scatter loading, locate and select the scatter file in the extracted folder and wait for it to load.
  7. Once it has been loaded, untick all if ticked and tick only "recovery" then double click beside it and navigate to your device specified custom recovery.img as shown in the caption below.


  • Now switch off your Infinix smart phone, then click on "download" once clicked, connect it to the PC via a USB cable so flashing process will begin automatically
  • wait for the flashing process to be completed, but while flashing is processing do not tamper with the USB cable neither should you interrupt the flashing process.
  • Once the flashing process has been completed, detach the USB cable from your device (do not turn on your phone) and then boot in to recovery mode by pressing and holding power button + volume up key simultaneously for 5secs.

CONGRATS you have successfully installed TWRP recovery to Infinix hot 4.

HOW TO ROOT INFINIX HOT 4 X557 ANDROID 6

  • Move the downloaded superSU file to the root of your internal memory (by root i mean in no folder at all, just paste in the internal memory)
  • Thereafter, Switch off your phone and boot it into recovery mode by pressing and holding power button + volume up simultaneously for 5secs.
  • While in TWRP menu, click on install, navigate to where the superSU file is and select it, then swipe to begin flashing process.

Once flashing is completed, click on reboot, to confirm if you have root access, download and install root checker from playstore.

After all the hype and crazy excitements about the coming of Infinix Note 3 X601 smartphone, we saw a device with no support for 4G LTE although the other variant of the phone features 4G but that variant is not yet available in Nigeria and in the Kenyan Markets as at the time of this report.

Apart from that, the device is just cool with moderate specs that are really okay for regular smartphone at this time. One interesting part of the device is its good battery capacity and extra-ordinary fast charging technology that gives you amazing 200 minutes of talk time with just a 5 minutes charge time. Step 2: Now, power off your device, and remove the battery if possible.

Step 3: Next, download the SP Flash tool, and extract the files to your computer. You should get the following files as seen below, after extraction.

Step 4: From the extracted files, open Flash_tool.exe

Step 5: Once the flash tool is launched, then click on the download/upgrade tab and click on scatter loading button

Step 6: Now, locate the “MT6753_Android_Scatter.txt” file, which is on your desktop.

Step 7: After that, click download to begin flashing process.

Step 8: Immediately, connect your device (without battery if possible) to your computer via USB cable, and press Volume Down or up key, so it would be detected easily by your computer.

Step 9: The Flashing process would be in progress, and a Green button would appear once the process is completed.

That’s it. TWRP Recovery is now installed on your Infinix Hot S x521, to boot to recovery mode, simply press and hold Volume Down button + press Power button.

How to Root Infinix Hot S x521 on Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Step 1: Firstly, download the SuperSU file from here and move the downloaded files to the internal storage of your Infinix Hot S x521 device.

Step 2: Now, switch off your device and boot to recovery mode (press and hold Volume Down button + press Power button).

The two Smartphones possesses almost the same Specification but with slight difference in some areas and after reading this post, you will clearly see the difference and make a confident decision on which one to go for assuming you are confused on which one to buy.

COMPARING INFINIX HOT 4 X557 AND INFINIX HOT 3 X554

DISPLAY
Smartphone display size is one of the first feature phone users look at before checking other Specs. Another area that the Hot 4 lagged behind is the version of Android Operating System as it comes with Android Lollipop while the Hot 3 features Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
Additionally, the Hot 4 uses the older infinix XUI while Hot 3 uses latest XOS

CAMERA
Lately many Smartphones companies decided to produce some camera centric devices. For instance, the Tecno Camon C8 and Camon C9 devices. But sadly, neither Infinix Hot 4 nor Hot 3 boasts of a powerful camera as they manage the 8MP lens at the back plus 5MP and 2MP front shooter respectively.

4G LITE
Unfortunately both devices disappointed 😞 with no trace of 4G support. However, the LTE version of Infinix Hot 3 has 4G support.

If you noticed, you will agree with me that almost all the latest Smartphone now features the fingerprint scanner as it enhances security and other web base activities that requires it. While the Hot 4 supports Fingerprints, Infinix hot 3 lacked that useful feature. Awww!

Battery strength of a smartphone is very important and the two devices tried with good battery backup although the hot 3 has the upper hand as it packs a 4000mAh battery capacity while hot 4 uses a 3000mAh battery Spec which isn't bad after all.

HOW TO INSTALL VIA SD CARD

1. Install update using OTA package or TCard package

2. Download the relevant OTA package or TCard package,

3. Extract it and place the 'update.zip' to the root of your SD Card (if already extracted, rename it as 'update.zip') ,

4. Then, Perform Method 1 or Method 2.


FIRST METHOD
1. Go to Settings > About phone > System update > Options > Update from local > Select 'update.zip' and install it.

2. At this point you need to do nothing. The update / upgrade process will begin.

3. Wait until the installation is complete so that the device would be rebooted.

SECOND METHOD
1.Turn off your Infinix Smartphone (and boot to recovery mode)

2. Switch off your phone.

3. Press and hold volume up button + power button

4. If you see Android bot with a danger sign

5. Press and hold power button again and press volume up button once

6. Up / Down button to select 'Apply update from SD card'

7. Scroll to where the 'update.zip' file is located and select with the Power Button

At this point you need to do nothing. The update / upgrade process will begin.
Wait until the installation is complete so that the device would be rebooted.
