Airtel 3G Unlimited Data Plans Fair Usage Policy

Hello guys, remember the recently introduced Airtel Unlimited Data Plans? Well, there has been a lot of controversy about the plan because of the poor and incomplete information Airtel released about them.

First, we were all concerned why the three unlimited data plans costs differently but valid for one month. People asked why the expiring date for the N10,000 plan is same for the N15,000 and N20,000 plans (30 days). Now, I have confirmed the reason it's like that hence I wish to use this opportunity to let you know the hidden truth about Airtel 3G Unlimited data plans.

Airtel Unlimited 3G Prices

✔️ Unlimited 10 for N10,000
✔️ Unlimited 15 for N15,000
✔️ Unlimited 20 for N20,000
Each of the plans has a 30-day validity.

Airtel Unlimited 3G Fair Usage Policy

✔️ Unlimited 10: full 3G speed up to 40GB usage, then throttled
✔️ Unlimited 15: full 3G speed up to 65GB usage, then throttled
✔️ Unlimited 20: full 3G speed up to 100GB usage, then throttled

When Airtel Nigeria were contacted, one of the reps revealed that the throttle speed is 256 kbps till month end. Full 3G speeds here mean you should expect speeds in the vicinity of 1-4 Mbps on good days and less then 1 Mbps on bad days.

MTN XtraByte: How To Borrow Data/Megabyte From MTN

MTN XtraByte is a newly introduced service that lets eligible active prepaid customers borrow data on credit when they run out of data while browsing and pay back on their next recharge.

I see this as a welcome idea knowing that similar service was launched by MTN some years but was only for airtime (call cards) so giving its subscribers the option to borrow data is a good innovation because many people now prefer to have data on their Smartphones than having call airtime. Am one of those that prefer data to airtime. I don't know about you.

Interesting thing about this offer is that you can borrow airtime through MTN XtraTime, also borrow "data through XtraByte" as long as you are eligible for the services. So both voice and data options are there for you.

Eligibility
To be eligible to borrow megabyte (Data) with MTN XtraByte, you must fulfil these criteria below
=> Your SIM must be registered
=> Your number must have been active on the network for at least 3 months
=> Your main account balance must be between #0 and #12

How To Check If You Are Eligible
You can check if you are eligible for MTN XtraByte data service by dialling the code, *606# and then select 1 from your registered MTN line.

5. 750MB

How To Borrow Data From MTN

To Borrow, dial *606# and follow the prompt appropriately

To check your borrowed Megabyte balance, dial *606#, then select check balance.

NOTE📝
If you have enough credit on your line, you will receive a message like this after dialing the code; which means you can't borrow until you have less than N12 in your balance.

IMPORTANT THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT MTN XTRABYTE DATA

1. You can borrow data once you are eligible even if you have an existing airtime loan that you are yet to pay back and can and also borrow airtime once you are eligible even if you have an existing data loan that you are yet to pay back as long as you are within your credit limit.

2. The XtraByte data will be loaded into a special XtraByte account and not the usual normal data account.

3. To pay back the borrowed data, MTN will deduct your airtime when next you recharge on that line (equivalent to the price for the borrowed data bundle) it can also be deducted via Share N Sell or any other means

Confirmed: Etisalat Unlimited BBlite On Android Blocked For New Subscribers

It's unfortunate, we only enjoyed this etisalat Bblite tweak for two days on android devices before etisalat decided to block it. No thanks to the guy that reported the tweak to etisalat yesterday.

Anyway, many guys misused it by downloading both necessary and unnecessary files, videos, music etc because it is unlimited.

A reader on this blog said he contacted etisalat and pretended as if he was using the real Blackberry 10 device to subscribe for the BBlite data but couldn't succeed. So etisalat replied that they have suspended new subscription at the moment but those that already subscribed to either the weekly or monthly plan will be allowed to use it until the expiring data.

How To Use Airtel 2GB And 6GB 2g Network Data On 3G Network

Airtel recently launched two very cheap data plans that are only usable on 2g network and it's so annoying. The speed is frustrating especially when downloading with it. The two packages are the Airtel 2GB for 200 Naira and the 6gb for 500 Naira
So i decided to try some tricks to make it "work on 2g network" and it was successful with a rooted device.

We will use some files which i have provided download links for.

How To Do It
=> Download 3g optimizer here

Download script manager here

=> Download Turbo Changer Script 2G/3G here

=> Download the above file and keep it safe before you start proceed below .
Start the 3G/4G optimizer :
Choose network speed as 12/28/7(set to max)

=> select down speed increase

=> apply the changes made .

=> Restart the device once you save the changes

=> Open the script manager
Browse the file which you downloaded (ie) 3G Turbo script text file changer

=> Allow the Super User (grand Permission)or else click on the Super user icon , grant permission and run the script
Scroll up and set the setting to Fastest to get the maximum Data Speed .
Reboot your device

=> Switch To WCDMA Mode on Setting(network)

NOTE
1. Your device must be rooted to make this trick work.
2. Reboot where ever its required .

Now you can enjoy 3g speed on our airtel 2g data plan

Is Your Airtel 2GB & 5GB Cheap Data Plans Working At The Moment?

A lot of people have already gotten this cheap airtel data plan. If you haven't gotten yours yet, this is an opportunity but before you go on, make sure you have confirmed it working as i can't give a 100% go ahead order for it as it has refused to work on two airtel lines i activated it.

HOW TO GET AIRTEL 2GB AND 4GB FOR N200 AND N500 RESPECTIVELY
Dial *482# on your airtel line. You will see other options. The first option is for 2gb (200 Naira) that valid for two weeks while the second option is 4gb (500 Naira) that valid for 28 days. So select the one of your choice.

Like i said earlier, it is not currently browsing on my phone but am trying to see how to make it work. It even deactivated the Airtel 4GB for N1000 that am rocking.

So i want to know from you guys if you have gotten yours and if it is working for you.

If actually it is not working, then it means it can be a night plan.

Airtel 3GB Data On Android, PC And Blackberry Is The Best Alternative For Browsing Right Now

This is undoubtedly the worst time for tweakers when it comes to free browsing tweaks as all the doors including windows are shut and locked with very strong and heavy padlocks 😁

Though i am working tirelessly to find solutions and provide new free browsing tweaks at least for guys that have sworn not to spend 5 Naira to subscribe for data. And there is progress in that direction as the tweak am working on will soon be made available for all here.

But while you wait for the next cheat, have you considered other affordable data subscriptions apart from the midnight data plans that are recently launched by our network providers?

Some few weeks ago i posted the airtel BB10 plans that works on blackberry devices but can be tweaked to work on android by changing android IMEI number to that of Blackberry. Guys this BIS plan is real and different from the popular airtel data plan that costs N1500 and zaps data. This one doesn't zap data at all. You get your 3GB data with N1000 and the data will be used normally without double charging or zapping from airtel.

If you check other data plans at the moment, no one is close to this. The closest is MTN 1.5GB which goes for the same N1000. Glo BIS on android now zaps data like hell. So tell me... Which other data offers what this airtel is offering? This is why am suggesting it to you right now while you wait for the awuf data.

Can I Really Use Airtel BB10 Subscription On Android?
The answer is a big YES as long as you can change your phone IMEI, you all set for the 3GB data which is valid for one month. Another plus is that airtel network is one of the best when it comes to fast browsing.

When You Use Heavy Data, MTN Is Behind You: See New MTN Huge Data Plans

MTN continued revisiting the price of their data plans and this time around, it has affected heavy data consumers positively as MTN reduced the price of 10GB data plan

My fellow huge data users should be happy 😊 though this is not perfect but trust me, its far better than what we used to get before for the same data size. Much has been said about the new MTN 1.5GB that goes for N1000 and even the 3.5GB that goes for N2000 but this time around, we are taking a look at the massive data for heavy users.

Apart from the 10GB data that goes for N5000, MTN also unveiled other huge data like the 22GB data that goes for N10,000. Not done yet because with N20,000 you will be given 50GB to last for 3 months while the previous plans lasts for 1 month. The biggest is the 85GB data plan that goes for N50,000 which also is valid for 3 months. Check below for the data plans, their prices and validity period.

MTN BIG DATA PLANS AND PRICE
10GB plan – N5,000 – 1 month validity
22GB plan – N10,000 – 1 month validity
50GB plan – N20,000 – 3 months validity
85GB plan – N50,000 – 3 months validity

Whenever i look at the N50,000 data plan, i start laughing like this guy....😁 lol. That plan is for Aliko Dangote...

How To Activate MTN 3.75 Data For Browsing

You can see the massive slash in data prices. It is now more affordable unlike before when MTN data services were no go area. I am now expecting other networks to bring their own and fight back or they will relax and see how their customers flee ✈ to MTN, though Airtel have some unlimited hourly data plans which are also cool for heavy downloaders.

Etisalat Officially Introduced 4.5GB Data Plan For All Devices

Etisalat just launched a 4.5GB data plan that can be used on android, iOS, Internet enabled java phones, Windows phones and PC but am not particularly impressed at the subscription price.

MTN and glo have similar data plans but with a little bit cheaper price for subscription. Why should Etisalat ask for N3,500 as subscription cost for 4.5GB data plan? What is the minimum wage for a civil servant out there.

In fact, this is why many phone users resort to tweaking to enjoy free and cheaper browsing.

MTN, Etisalat, Glo, Airtel Best Data Plan For Android, iOS And PC For April 2016

While many people like and prefer tweaking to get free and cheaper browsing, there are some people reading this now that are not comfortable with tweaking. This type of individuals prefer subscribing for normal data to avoid the stress and struggles of tweaking. So I decided to bring yet another affordable data suggestions for them to choose from for the month of April.

Airtel 4.5GB Data Now Costs Only N2000

When it comes fast networks for browsing in Nigeria, we know Etisalat and Airtel are at the top, then followed by MTN while Glo is the most frustrating network to use while browsing the internet in many locations. Though MTN is improving this days

This Airtel official data is seen as an improvement from the previous data offered by Airtel because previously, Airtel sold 2GB for N2000 and later metamorphosed to 3GB for N1500 and now they are offering more data with N2000 for a good 4.5GB data. It is actually one of the best data plan on the Airtel network. Don't forget the cheapest Airtel data of weekend 1GB for only N100

This data plan will serve many people especially those that Brows regularly with their laptop. One major aspect of Airtel data that keeps me off from their plan is the way they zap it on Android devices. It seems as if they charge double of what other networks are charging when you use their data on your Android Phone but let's hope this particular one doesn't go with the same disease.

DEVICES SUPPORTED FOR THIS PLAN
√ All Android Phones
√ All iOS devices (iPhone and iPad)
√ All windows phone

√ All symbian and Java phones with Internet connection
√ PC (Laptops, Palmtops, Desktop Computers)
