You Can Now Send Skype Messages Using Siri

The latest version of Skype V6.27.1 now lets you directly send messages with Siri. Siri is Apple's smart assistant just like Google's Voice in Android devices.

This means that you can even chat with someone without typing but by just speaking out the words.

"Send Skype messages to your Skype contacts using Siri," the change-log for the update says. Also, the updated app, will now allow to view your Skype recent messages and Favourites on the Apple Watch again.

Microsoft is doing everything possible to maintain the status of Skype as of the best social platforms for both chatting and video calling.

Older windows phone will no longer support the newly updated Skype application. This means you can only use it if you are on Windows 10 mobile and above. So those on Windows 8 and 8.1 won't be able to use the app a starting from October 2016.

While those running Android 4.0.3 Jelly Bean and below won't be supported on the latest Skype 6.2. But you can run the older Skype 4 version on devices running Android 2.3 and above.

Similarly, the Skype 7.0 for Mac client will only function on macOS 10.9 (Mavericks) and above and older versions will have to use the web client after October 2016 to access Skype.

Skype is loved by almost everyone because of its video calling features. Users can make video calls with anyone at any location worldwide.
